What inspired you to pursue a career in project management?
I got into project management because I love organizing, planning, and tackling complex problems. There's something really satisfying about taking a project from start to finish and seeing the real impact it can make. I enjoy collaborating with different teams and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. It keeps me on my toes, learning new things and adapting to whatever comes my way.
What skills have you developed while at Qarik that you’re most proud of?
At Qarik, I’ve strengthened my technical skills in cloud and data, particularly with Google Cloud. I’m proud of my work on Google Cloud infrastructure, managing big data with BigQuery, and using Google Cloud’s machine learning tools for valuable insights, which deepened my expertise in cloud-based data management.
What excites you most about your current engagement/project? Why?
My current project allows me to bring cutting-edge GenAI technologies in Google Cloud into the construction industry, which has incredible potential to create a product that could reshape workflows and boost efficiency in a traditionally manual field. This is both challenging and rewarding. Acting as project and product manager allows me to oversee the process end-to-end, ensuring we’re meeting client needs and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in construction tech.
What do you enjoy most about working at Qarik? Why?
Qarik has a dynamic small company environment where I can work on cutting-edge technologies alongside talented engineers and strong leadership. The supportive culture fosters collaboration and innovation, providing ample opportunities for career advancement and personal growth.
Can you share a piece of career advice that has made a big impact on you?
A piece of career advice that has greatly impacted me came from my first manager: “It’s never too late to learn.” This perspective motivated me to take a year-long break after a decade in IT to pursue a Master's in Data Analytics, which has enriched my skill set and prepared me for my role at Qarik. Embracing continuous learning has been invaluable in my career.
