New York’s Qarik proud to get on board with Belfast Search & Rescue Team

New York based digital transformation company, Qarik, that also has a software engineering and design hub in Belfast, recently made a significant donation to Lagan Search & Rescue – the independent lifeboat crew stationed in Belfast Harbour.

Connecting the American company to the volunteer rescue charity is Qarik’s UX Designer, Tim Davidson who is also a Lagan Search & Rescue crew member.

20% of all lifeboats in the UK are run as independent charities and have to raise funds to maintain their service. Qarik CEO, Joseph Schenk commented, ‘It’s great to be able to help out in our adopted second home, Belfast. We’ve benefited from the high standard of software engineering and design expertise available here and it feels good to give back something to the city that educated and trained many of our people.'
